I'm starting to wonder what is the difference between information marketing and content marketing, if any? Is content marketing the "new term" for information marketing?

Patsy, with respect to "why hasn't this problem been solved," I think it's important for people to remember that the question may be asked as, "how can I provide a solution to this problem in a way that is more accessible to my audience, and that provides value in a new and different way from that of other content providers?"

The upshot is that there are a lot of sources for content online, but not all of it resonates with your audience. When you know your audience intimately, you can speak congruently with them.

Well said, Jay, I agree. I think answering question #2 is where you can really 'hook' readers into believing you know what you're talking about because you really know and understand their predicament well. You know your reader's, feel their pain, AND care about it enough to write about it. If you can't answer question #2 well, you will lose your readers.

Keisha, you are right the terms can be interchanged to say some of the same things. Content marketing is the buzz word for some people working in advertising who just got on the bus...
