What an important distinction you made about sharing personal stories on a blog. The key word was "relevant." If mentioning a horrible cold or flu, for example, if not tying back to the premise of the post then it is most certainly a distraction. Food for thought AND thanks;-)

I agree that it takes a lot for me to click through to watch a video. I'd much rather skim an article and then if I like what I see, I read the whole thing, top to bottom. You can't do that with video!

(I also find most video such poor quality that it makes me want to cringe. Most people stumble for words because they're not actors. Even if the message is a good one, a poorly done video seems cheapen it. But maybe that's just a prejudice I have for being in the industry I'm in!)
