Patsi, How cool you got to attend the fantastic Writer's Spa - I went back in 2005 and LOVED it and Jen (Suzanne FB was there then too). Really got me started on my own writing, and got me on the road to start my Spirit of Chaco blog (and with much help from you and Denise, I might add)! I recommend it heartily!!

Thanks for these great tips! :-)

p.s. how do you get your post to show up in FB notes?

I think the two steps are good advice, but like you I find procrastination a bad habit. I tend to set my goals weekly for work but at the moment I haven't even touched my home computer to use for writing purposes. I will use your advice and set my goals for a first draft, thanks Patsi.

Glad you were inspired, Patsi. This is the best compliment of all. I'm working on the generous writing deadlines - it all comes in too fast!

Deadlines are a must for me and my muse. And allowing time for simmering and marinating is essential...I love the drama associated with setting and getting deadlines.

I have the same problem. That's why I love challenges.

I use National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) for my fiction and EZA's Hundred Articles in a Hundred Days (#HAHD) for my non-fiction.
