Definitely great points -- thanks for sharing them. Marketing online isn't exactly free because it is time-consuming. But like you said, following the example of big budget companies, you should still be able to promote your own business with a much smaller budget using the Web. And it actually might not even be free to produce a great video to share on YouTube, AdWido, and Vimeo, but the act of uploading and showing friends itself certainly is (compared to how much it costs to put something similar on a TV!).
