In a few minutes, we're moving back to Mexico. I'm heading out with Huey and Dewey, our two cats, and a couple of huge suitcases. I'm taking the red-eye overnight from Tijuana to Guadalajara in the first of two trips to our home in Ajijic.
As some of you know, the Hubby and I have been part-time residents of Ajijic, a beautiful Mexican village on Lake Chapala since 2003. It's time to quit San Diego and get back home. But with DSL, satellite TV, and computer phone services, you'll hardly know the difference.
Except this blog will be running a little slower than usual. I'm back in SD next Monday and then we make the long trip by car, taking about 2 days to arrive back in the middle of paradise. I'll be back on regular blogging schedule after mid-January. Adios, amigos, hasta luego!

I certainly envy you, these Canadian winters are killing me.
Being self-employed I don't have to commute, but I can't imagine having to!
We'll miss you, but then you'll be back soon.
Cheers

Thanks Mike for stopping by...good question! Where does one go after San Diego? How about to a village of creative souls, weather that's currently 20 degrees warmer in winter and about the same in summer, luscious gardens, great food, good tennis players, and the cost of living is about 1/3 what it is in SD... We are part of a growing community of Americans and Canadians that have migrated south because ...it just feels soooo right.
I just came in from the park and it's 80 degrees outside. The horses are a little loud on the cobblestone streets, but a pleasant background for writing.
Boris, you can't miss me...the Internet is everywhere...I'm still here!

Patsi, Best wishes on your move! Would love to see some pics once you are settled in. I visited Puerto Vallarta last January and met several people who relocated to Mexico and are enjoying the lifestyle there. Dulcita Love

Patsi -- What a wonderful experience! I can close my eyes and feel it. And isn't it nice that, with modern technology, you won't miss a beat?
I'm so jealous... :)
