I have a request for you, dear readers. I want you to suggest your favorite books to me, ones I can take on vacation to read, both for pleasure and for business. I am accepting nominations for 3 categories:
- Can't-put-down fiction
- Cutting edge executive/leader/business development issues
- Your favorite cutting edge marketing/internet/small biz books
Thanks! Just leave a comment and tell me why you like the book you suggest.

Fiction - Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. (written in a series of letters - funny, heartwarming and tragic. Great read)
Marketing - Yes! 50 Sceintifically Proven Ways to Be Persuasive. (another must read from persuasion master Robert Cialdini)
Start up business/marketing - Reality Check (I just love Guy Kawasakis writing style and tell it like it is delivery)

Thanks, Holly. I agree with "Yes!" I will take it with me and see if I can find these other two suggestions before I leave.

Great fiction would be by Joanne Harris entitled "Girl With No Shadow". This is her follow up to "Chocolat". I just finished it and it's a fun, engrossing read filtered with a little magic and a little darkness.
