I think if Naomi more explicitly talked about writing, she would have easily made the list. Her stuff is so powerful and she writes about such core ideas, I agree that every writer should be reading her.

Plus, for those of us who freelance either part- or full-time, she'll help us not die broke. :)

What a concept, Sonia, ...writers not dying broke! Great goal to keep in mind. I know for myself this isn't going to happen, thanks to the WWW and Internet marketing. And it doesn't have to happen to any of the thousands of talented writers in the world, thanks to smart blogging.

DUDE! Thanks for the love. It was awesome to be nominated for this list, especially so near JA Konrath who saved my ass when I was trying to write a novel. He is the bombest.

And yeah. Dying broke equals bad.
