This is hard: three days of top speakers delivering high energy content to 500 people from 7:30 a.m. to 8 at night, with power networking during meals and breaks. Mark Victor Hansen is a man with a huge heart and colossal visions and goals. If you get a chance to attend any of Mark's Mega Events (books, marketing, selling) do so!
I'm beat. But I learned a ton of stuff I'll share with you. We're all speakers even if we only present our message to one person at a time. I'm learning how to present to larger audiences so we can grow The Blog Squad business and reach more people. Mark's Mega Speaking Event showcases the best speakers in the business.
Marshall Sylver, who I knew as a stage hypnotist 15 years ago, is now delivering the bigger message: we are what we believe and we do what we believe we can. His steps for success are:
- Self mastery: learn to control your thoughts and emotions
- Tools: learn to use the ones you need for maximum leverage (did he mean blogs and Carts? I think so...)
- Take Action Now!
Doug Wead is a powerful speaker I had never heard before, a former White House speech writer, and I'll be listening to his CDs soon. He's in Wikipedia if you want to know more. His message: Connect your audience with a deeper purpose to help transform their lives.
Alex Mandossian was the emcee who kept us on schedule, and delivered his message of how important teleseminars are to growing any speaking (or other) business online and making money.
Tom Antion kept the audience laughing with his funny observations of the other speakers. He called me up on the stage as one of his mentees/joint venture partners. I told the audience about the results of being in his program, little things like having revenues triple and list grow ten fold (Or, as Tom says, can you hear the "Ka-Ching!").
Connect, transform, laugh, and take action now: This message isn't new to me. I've been hearing it from several sources lately, including some great books I've been reading. I do feel transformed. I am taking action now.
If by sharing what I learn and what I know, I can help professionals with their online marketing so that they don't take years to get to where I am, so that they can become successful in half the time and half the work and expenses, then I'll be happy.
P.S. Before I forget, one of the best parts of the conference was rooming with Kathleen Gage,
of Street Smarts Marketing. We'd only met online before, and in person
discovered we were sisters in another life. Kathleen is one of those
souls who connects and touches you deeply. On top of that, she's a
successful online entrepreneurs with a lot to offer her clients. Stay
tuned for some powerful joint venture programs with her!

A great summary. I was there, too...and found it to beat expectations. So many ideas now that I have to put into action.
Interestingly, I had heard of most of the speakers before...but the two who I thought had the best stage precence were two I did not know: Doug Weed and Brendon Burchard. WOW on both.
I look forward to learning more about the Blog Squad.
