Unfortunately, many times informal and conversational translate into poor grammar, spelling errors, and a recurring question of whether the person can speak properly. When I question a person's ability to speak properly, I also question their repertoire of business skills.

True, that less formality attracts more readers, but when a writer misinterprets informal and conversational with poorly written content, I wonder if the person understands the idea of putting your best face forward in business.

Sometimes, I'm contacted by potential clients who want me to do half a job for half a price. They say 'it only needs a little bit of editing/rewriting.' Politely, I say take it to someone who does half a job for their clients.
