Thanks to John Hewitt for publishing a list of blogs for writers. There are many good blogs on his list, including this one, and a few I am not familiar as yet.
How many of these bloggers do you read?
- Anne Wayman: Anne runs one of my favorite writing sites, which both offers original advice and keeps track of what the other blogs are saying.
- John August: The screenwriter behind such movies as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Big Fish, Go, and Charlie’s Angels writes the best screen writing blog around.
- Deborah Ng: Focuses on freelance writing and blogging jobs.
- Angela Booth: If it’s about freelance writing, and it’s fab, you can bet Angela Booth is behind it. Plenty of advice for freelancers to digest.
- Jeanne Dininni: Excellent advice for writers and bloggers, especially from a mechanics perspective.
- David J. Montgomery: Writes about crime fiction and mysteries.
- Monica Valentinelli : Includes plenty of tips for freelance writers and game designers.
- Denise Grier: Denise is one of the most prolific bloggers I have ever seen. She posts a dozen times a day. Not everything is on topic, but I like that.
- Liz Elayne and Dana: Their site, Poetry Thursday, inspired my weekly poetry links.
- Joanna Young: She provides writing tips and coaching for writers.
- Liz Strauss: Writes about writing and blogging with equal fervor. She is one of the most prolific bloggers around.
- Patsi Krakoff: If you are looking for advice about creating and writing for e-zines, this is the place to go.
- Mark Schaver: Mark blogs about basic and advanced journalism techniques.
- Gideon Starorzewski: The main focus of his blog is fiction writing and publishing.
- Timothy King: Excellent articles about the fiction process.
- Tom Johnson: Writes about technical writing mechanics, business and the general lifestyle of technical workers.
- Meryl K. Evans: Writes about freelance writing and blogging.
- Sophfronia Scott: Writes about books and publishing.
- Audrey Owen: Writes about the craft of editing.
- Andy Humphrey: Andy seems pretty busy for a struggling writer, but at least he has time to blog.
- Shai Coggins: Shai is one of the owners of B5 Media, employer of many of the webs best writers. This is her blog about writing and the creative process.
- Michael Stelzner: An excellent niche blog for writers of white papers.
- Darren Rowse: If you want to blog well, Darren’s Problogger site is the first place you need to look to for advice.
- Jeff Jarvis: This former People and Entertainment Weekly editor is leading one of the most forward thinking discussions of new media that you can find.

Thanks, this is very helpful. If you'll allow me, I'd like to immodestly mention my own writing blog at www.timetowrite.blogs.com, which features daily posts about both fiction & non-fiction writing. Thanks!
